CoPSO announces date for annual conference

24 October 2012

The Council of Property Search Organisation (CoPSO) has announced the date for its first annual conference, which aims to provide members of the search industry with a series of topical and in-depth presentations on the key issues facing today’s property search providers.

The conference will take place on Thursday 29th November 2012 at the Pullman Hotel in London. Designed to fit around the busy schedules of those within the profession, the event will commence at 2pm and will finish at 5pm, followed by a dinner that evening.

Presenters at the conference will include representatives from the Property Codes Compliance Board (PCCB), who will provide an update on the latest developments in relation to the Search Code and compliance, along with the Land Registry, who will brief delegates on the current proposals around Local Land Charges.

Chairman of CoPSO, James Sherwood-Rogers, who will be hosting the event said: “For our members, this event provides a series of valuable updates on some of the current issues impacting on our profession. This is the first of what we expect to become an annual conference and a key opportunity for the search industry to come together and debate the issues and concerns of the day. A dinner will immediately follow on from the conference, giving delegates an opportunity to catch up with old friends and to network with others from across the industry. Spaces are limited so I would urge anyone planning to attend to reserve their place now.”

The conference is exclusively for CoPSO members and is free of charge for all CoPSO Executive, Associate and Affiliate members, with a maximum number of two delegates per company.  Additional places can be booked at £100 each. Any non-members wishing to attend can do so, if they opt to join CoPSO either prior to or at the conference.

The dinner in the evening is open to both CoPSO members and their invited guests.
