CoPSO has worked with the Government and Local Land Charges Institute on joint guidance for search companies undertaking local searches and local authorities. This is aimed at developing better working practices between the two parties. The guidance covers:
CoPSO is committed to establishing better working relationships with local authorities and welcomed the publication of the guidance in February 2005. A copy of the guidance can be downloaded from the Publications page. This will eventually be replaced by the Government's forthcoming guidance on access to data.
