Preparing searches for e-conveyancing

PISCES

On 10 January 2007, PISCES announced the publication of the second draft of the Search Standard form the Searches Workgroup.  These schemes are now open to public view and pilot purposes. The Standard will enable organisations to submit a search order, request costs, query an order, deliver search results, as well as enable queries to be raised

The Search Second Draft Standard, with all its supporting documentation can be downloaded, for no charge, from the PISCES Workgroup website by clicking on the link below:

This second draft includes changes suggested by a number of organisations including TM Property, Wessex Water, York Place and United Utilities. Over the past few months these organisations have exchanged in excess of 200 search orders per day, and are looking to implement delivery of search results in early 2007. A number of other organisations including Anglian Water and Personal Search Group are due to start exchanging search orders, using the PISCES Standard, in the next few months.

All PISCES Members and Non-Members are invited to review the second draft Standard,  provide feedback regarding its content and inform the PISCES team whether your organisation would like to participate in the pilots.

If members want to register your interest in running a pilot please send an email to swg-pilot@pisces.co.uk confirming the organisation/s you wish to pilot with and the specific schema/s that you intend to exchange. Any other queries regarding the schemas and feedback on the content can be submitted to PISCES team using the above email address.

Statement of Collaboration between CoPSO and PISCES

CoPSO is working closely and collaborating with PISCES on this shared area of interest. CoPSO fully supports the PISCES initiative and encourages its members to adopt the Standard and to assist PISCES by contributing their industry expertise to the development of the standard.

Roger de Boehmler (Director General, PISCES) comments "Several CoPSO members already play a very active role within PISCES and we look forward to better supporting CoPSO’s needs in relation to property-related search data exchanges in the future."

Fiona Hoyle (Chairman, CoPSO): "With the advent of both HIPs and e-conveyancing, we welcome this initiative which will result in faster and more efficient property search reports."
