CoPSO responds to HIPs announcement
Government must keep its promise to reforming the local search market to avoid consumers facing a postcode lottery of delays at local authorities, says CoPSO

Commenting on the delay to introducing HIPs, CoPSO Chairman Fiona Hoyle said:

‘HIPs or no HIPs, the Government must keep its promise to reforming the local search market to avoid consumers facing a postcode lottery of delays at local authorities.  Over 18 months ago, the Office of Fair Trading recommended that local authorities stop restricting access to data, so that consumers can benefit from a competitive local search market and value-for-money search reports.  These reforms remain essential.”
